As many have reported, there have been a surprisingly large decrease in battery consumption lately after a few version upgrades ago. I have read users of several different Pixels ranging from P6p up to P9 report this. I am curious how this was made. Was it updates to hardware drivers or anything in the OS level? There must surely have been some kind of overhaul or system redesign somewhere. I rarely use my phone for any heavy tasks so I am not aware of any performance issues coinciding with the battery improvement.
