Breezy Weather can no longer get my current location

After updating to 2025121001 Beta, Breezy Weather can no longer find my current location or update it. When I refresh it, I don't get any indicator at the top of the screen saying my location is in use, like I should. Here's a screenshot

Weird. I opened OsmAnd to see if it would retrieve my location as a test, and it did. Opening Breezy Weather again, it got my location. We'll see if it updates it though as I move to different locations.

So its happening again. Breezy Weather can no longer get my location. I even uninstalled it and reinstalled it. I'm on build 2025121201. Here's screenshots

Novalissoide yes. I can't change the source though. They are all greyed out because they are 'non free networks' so I can't click on them

Can confirm had the same experience on a pixel 9a today after receiving the latest os update. The only other source for location showing for me is IP.SB but that source got my location wrong. Android location source only worked once using location services on a maps app and then going back to breezy weather.

Yep, same way for me to get location on Breezy Weather. Sucks because I've tried other weather apps but Breezy seems to be the best

Enabling network location (set to grapheneOS proxy) in Settings > Location > Location services seemed to fix it for me.

Mickeybrad I've always had that on, so I changed it and then put it back to GrapheneOS proxy. Still having issues though

Now Maps is also having trouble picking up my location. OsmAnd sometimes gets it, but loses it on and off, and CoMaps can't find it at all.

Can you confirm that you have wifi scanning enabled or that you're keeping wifi on any time you launch the app?

starglider I rarely ever use WiFi, so I don't have that on. I just use mobile data since a data plan with a whole ton of data is cheaper than WiFi where I live.

nandohyphen1 Then be sure to turn on wifi scanning (it's off by default). If you don't, you're going to have lousy location performance indoors.

I tried turning on location tags for Camera (which I never do), and when I take a picture, I get the following message;
Couldn't attach location to image as it wasn't found

So now it seems like barely anything will detect my location, even with WiFi scanning ON

Edit;
I tried connecting to WiFi, and my location works perfectly. Still not convenient though, especially if I need to navigate with maps. I'll keep trying...

Update: after updating to 2025121701, location for weather is working normal again.

Hey, I was having this problem on and off for a while now, it came back. But I think I have found a permanent fix for it, thanks to this github issue.

This is what you need to do. Go to Settings > Location > Location Services > Network Location and make sure it is set to GrapheneOS Proxy. It was off for me. Setting it to GrapheneOS Proxy has completely fixed the issue. I hope this helps someone who stumbles upon this, and since I found a fix, thought I'd share it!
