This is a WhatsApp issue but I'm hoping someone here has had a similar issue and can help -- I've searched a bit other places.
I had a WhatsApp installation on a secondary profile with sandboxed play services installed (notification were consistently working), and I wanted to migrate it to my Owner profile with no play services.
I made a copy of the WhatsApp folder to keep my chats etc.
I installed Whatsapp via aurora store on the Owner profile.
Before I pasted over the WhatsApp folder (i.e. clean Whatsapp, never interfaced with play services) I seemed to get notifications fine (with battery optimization off, etc. Didn't test for a long time).
After pasting the WhatsApp folder over, my chats appeared, but I am having trouble with timely notifications. They sometimes only come when I have WhatsApp open, sometimes only when the phone is unlocked, etc. E.g I will get five missed calls and the sixth one will come through when I unlock my phone.
Is this due to the WhatsApp data folder having some info making it expect play sevrices?
I have had this problem from the beginning, but lately i have installed, then enabled and disabled as needed, play Services on the owner profile. Could this affect things at all?
I am looking for a way to start fresh with a whatsapp that relies on its own push notifications, no play Services, but still need my chat/media/call history.
If anyone has any tips it would be greatly appreciated
