Can I resell pixel 9 with grapheneos pre installed with a modified screen software I have a business that needs 500 by end of month. If I do this am I allowed to say it’s private still if I change out part of grapheneos? I don’t want to over promise to my friend for his businesses. Since I changed the software with VoIP programmed and easer screen use. It’s for international secure communications.

AOSP code is permissively licensed, you can generally do whatever you want as long as you provide the copyright notice(s) and relevant license text.

GrapheneOS uses such a license too.

You can say it is private, no one trademarked that term.

You can't say it is GrapheneOS though.

As charles25565 said, it will no longer be GrapheneOS.

Also, once you create your own build/fork of GrapheneOS, it won't receive updates - which means that business will have to rely on you to keep their phones secure and updated. You will continuously be developing/maintaining and porting updates from the GrapheneOS repo to your custom build, which will likely run into bugs that you will have to test, fix, and may cause undesired issues for that business. If I was that business, I wouldn't take the risk.
