Hey all.
Apologies if this has been discussed already. I tried searching and didn't see anything related to it and I feel this would be good to point out to anyone who chooses to use Brave over Vanadium or at the very least is forced to use Brave for one reason or another.
If you go into Brave Flags there is currently a Flag "#brave-v8-jitless-mode" I am not sure when exactly this was introduced but I've only seen it recently so I'd have to guess it is at least somewhat recent.
Anyway. As to what the flag does is it changes the V8 optimizer site permission to instead of only disabling the optimizers actually full on Disable JIT JavaScript which includes WebAssembly aswell.
I personally think this is a massive win for Brave users and if you aren't concerned about fingerprinting or at the very least prioritize security over fingerprinting you should probably most definitely enable this flag.
I don't think it's as good as Vanadium's implementation but is still a very big improvement for Brave nonetheless.
The flag does however also have this noted "This does not affect all pages." So as such this isn't a completely 100% JITless mode but it does seem to do just fine disabling it for every actual website I have visited.
