International Calling Apps

I haven't got my new GrapheneOS phone YET, because my question is: can certain overseas calling apps ( like, Boss Revolution) be used without any interuptions or complications? I have business contacts in the UK and I'm calling from the U.S....i need a secure ( as much as civilian possible) phone that has a good encryption OS but won't hinder me calling overseas. Anybody know if Boss Revolution works with GrapheneOS? Thanks in advance, Reaper.

I wasn't familiar with Boss, but I've used Fongo for overseas calling and texting and it works fine on my 6a. Data or wifi required of course.

9Reaper tested installing, no real defeaters. But I didn't register my phone number, the app did start without protesting but that's as far I dared to proceed. So, probably will work.

GrapheneOS actually recommends using the Google Play Store (if your comfortable with that) which you can install from the default App Store on the phone. I personally don't use Google Services at all, so this wasn't an option for me. I use F Droid (download the APK from their website)

Aurora Store (installable from F Droid), which is anonymous access to the Google Play Store, Accrescent (from the default GrapheneOS App Store) and I occasionally install app APKs from GitHub when possible

nandohyphen1 Thank You Nando for that informative and helpful info...at this stage, I have almost no trust in any Google services, but it's impossible to go totally dark and secure when you have an Android phone

9Reaper Your welcome. I would just say explore your options, see what works for you, and go from there. Some people don't recommend Aurora Store or F Droid, but if you search the forum on both topics you can find a lot of discussions on them.
