Sandboxed Banner Notification

So when I first started using the OS there would always be a popup in the notification bar saying apps are sandboxes or something along those lines, but now that does not appear at all. I'm just wondering if its still like active even of the notification isn't there

Pull the notifications down twice. In the bottom right, there's 4 small buttons. The first one of those buttons is a number. Tap that number and if GmsCompat is there, then the answer is yes.

HeadyTrichs As mentioned the notification to which you refer is for when you have sandboxed Play Services installed. That is both the services and store from the GrapheneOS App Store app.

When you do and when you've provided it the necessary exceptions to battery optimisation etc as outlined here:

Then you will see the notification sitting in the notification shade as a silent notification which can be tapped and various Play settings can be changed.

Dumdum thanks for the response. So I tapped the number, and GMs compact is not there. Only my VPN, apk app, and vanadium. What should I do

Do you have Google Play installed from the App Store? Only thing that comes to mind is that you don't so GmsCompat won't be active.

Dumdum oh am I dumb and its only active when google services are active on the phone? I may not fully know what sandboxed means, I thought it was always supposed to be active

All apps are sandboxed regardless of Google Play. The notification you're referring to is specifically to let users know that they have Play Services installed and running.
