My battery recently ran out of power and the phone (Pixel 8) automatically shutdown. Usually I can wait until it charges for a few minutes and can boot back in. This time I waited until it charged to about 35%, and tried to reboot. It successfully got to the home screen but when I unlocked it, it immediately crashed (the phone screen went black). This happened twice before I was finally able to unlock the phone normally.
I think there might have been a recent graphene update that needed a restart right before my phone ran out of battery the first time. It went into its usually reboot cycle (where it repeated boots off and on until it got enough to stay booted). It was a little scary, as I thought that reboot cycle might have corrupted the phone mid update. Anyone know what happened?
