I recently installed Graphene OS on a Pixel 8a, and initially everything worked perfectly, including the attachment of photos to text messages. However, as of this morning, recipients of texted pictures are seeing the following error message: "Removed attachment of banned Mime Type". This error has presented itself across three different devices, using various networks. I just spent some time with the device, and it does not matter if the photos were taken with the phone's camera, downloaded from the internet, or transferred from another device. Even received pictures (which come through just fine via text), cannot be successfully forwarded. I tried using a different different messaging program (SImple SMS), and the results were unchanged. I have verified the APN settings for the carrier (Cricket Wireless), power-cycled the device, and ensured that all software is up-to-date. This phone is being used by a VERY tech-illiterate family member, so it is up to me to get everything working correctly . I won't have the phone in my hands again for at least a day or two, but I need some kind of troubleshooting plan. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
