Pixel Camera and GPhotos - installation options

Hi,

I'm currently evaluating what apps I can live without so that I can remove sandboxed Play Store and GPS from my phone.

So far, the only two that are a must have are Pixel Camera and GPhotos because the quality, postprocesing and editing tools are still far superior than GOS Camera (portrait mode,...). That is my opinion - please prove me wrong.

As far as I know, the options are:

use Play Store to download and update the apps and then disable it,
use Aurora store (I'm not sure how reliable it is).

Is there any other option or alternative?

DeletedUser534 GP Services installed for compatibility, they won't bother you if disabled, and they'll be there ready, should you really need them.

Not ideal, Obtainium is probably better but this is a 'down & dirty' way to check several app sources quickly for updates.

Novalissoide I agree. But there is not Pixel Camera and Google Photos apk on there unfortunately.

This is where we realise that Sandboxed GP Store is the wiser option. . .
