Pixel I think 6 or maybe 5, using Graphene for a couple years on it. I use it for minimal communications, mostly, using best practices, no non Fdroid apps except Signal in a different User from that I was using today. No issues.
Today I was using Vanadium to to banking in a banking User, and screen went black. Phone was still on, and I had to hold the power button / combinations of the power button plus volume, several times, to get it to turn off. Actually, because you can't disconnect the battery there is no way to know if it turns off if you have a black screen issue.
- What is the official way to hard reboot GrapheneOS?
- Devs, please add a thing where when you hard reboot a special vibration pattern happens, for example three vibration pulses, so user with blackscreen knows their phone is turning off. (If your screen goes blank while you are banking, you will want to know what is going on with your phone.)
- I read that on Graphene most blackscreen/similar issues are caused by apps. Is that correct?
Phone seems just dead now. Can't get it to do anything. But not sure if it is powered off.
