Hello,
I recently noticed a weird bug that occurred when downloading an APK (specifically the Revanced Manager). I started downloading the APK through Brave and before the file finished downloading (I didn't realise it hadn't finished at the time) I tried to install it. Obviously it didn't install and this seemed to prevent the file from continuing to download. I removed the download from Brave and downloaded the file again. However, this time the new file I downloaded ended with a (1) indicating a file with the same name already exists.
When opening up my files, under "Downloads" it shows that the original APK is still there, however, it is 0 bytes. I cannot delete this file for the life of me. It also only shows up when I'm under the "Downloads" (ending with an "s") section from the side pop out menu in the files app. If I manually go the the "Download" (no "s") folder the "0 byte" APK isn't there.
On top of this if I plug my phone into my laptop (I use Pop!_OS) no results show for that APK when searching my phone. Making matters more confusing, I literally can't see anything in my Download folder, even files I just downloaded to test if they're visible.
Also, another slight side issue to this the only way I can enable USB File Transfer is if I enable USB Debugging under the developer settings. If it's turned off my phone only charges when connected to my PC. Also, if I restart my phone with USB Debugging enabled, upon restart, I have to disable it and re-enable it in order to be able to enable file transfer with my PC.
I understand that GrapheneOS for the Pixel 10 is still under development so bugs are to be expected. I just wanted to bring this to everyone's attention. If anyone has any solutions to this I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!
