Syncing contacts

I've just setup grapheneos on my p10pxl and I'm enjoying it so far. I've gone with the layout of having my owner profile as an app pusher to my user profiles.

My question is I want my owner profile and 1/user profile to sync contacts so I know who is calling when receiving a call. At the moment I've just imported .vcf file to both profiles however as I enter new contact I prefer them to sync... Is google contacts the best way of doing this, arghh? I tried syncthing but found it too complex

Not using the owner profile as work makes your life unneccessarily complicated.
Since any mobile can break or get lost it is advisable to sync contacts to a server.

Gold standard is a selfhosted Carddav synced with DAVx5. Google is also a Carddav server just not selfhosted.

The following solutions come to mind:

Do you really need contacts in Owner Profile? If I understand you correctly, you only use it as an app pusher and won't be spending much time in there, right?
modify contacts in your daily driver and then sync them manually to the Owner Profile using an app called InterProfileSharing or use a computer.
EteSync is often recommended here.
If you use a NAS, for example, you could do this with Nextcloud or Synology and DAVx5.

I guess I'm still working out how best to use the phone and setup. I wouldn't be using the owner profile so much but I thought the best practice and purpose of using a user profile as a daily use would be to put the user profile to sleep (end session), when not in use or at night so the apps arnt running constantly. If this is the case and I receive a call when I've ended the daily user session then I wouldnt know who the call is from if the contacts arnt synced. Or perhaps I just have urgent contacts in owner and everyone in user. I'm not sure how best to do this... What does everyone else do?
