Pixel 6a battery replacement

Hi all,
My Pixel 6a is eligible for the free battery replacement since Google has reduced the max capacity of it.
I'm in Europe and I can get it replaced in a shop, but the shop needs to have to access the Repair Mode that doesn't exist in GrapheneOS. If I wanted to get the battery officially replaced I would need to flash the original OS again.
From what I understand (I might be wrong) there is no way to fully backup and restore my GrapheneOS data/apps/settings.. As I have too much stuff on it, I don't want to flash again the original OS.

Could I instead pay for a normal battery replacement to get again the full potential of the battery? If the battery gets replaced, will the OS allow it to go the max capacity?

zfygt If battery is successfully replaced with a proper new one then yes, you'll get the full performance of it.

I believe the requirement for Repair Mode is typically a repair shop policy requirement more so than a requirement to utilize the repair program through Google, but I could be wrong. Point being, I think you'll still run into the same issue.

I got my grapenheos pixel 6a repaired in an oficial service, no problem with it. As i had no repair mode i had to unlock the phone myself in the shop to check everything was working (fingerprint unlock), no USB was connected to ir after i unlocked it.

Thanks. The repair mode is used mainly by the shop to check if the phone is eligible for the free replacement I believe.
