Kong I have just installed Thunderbird and also K-9 Mail directly from GitHub with help of Obtainium. Why Obtainium shows in description of these two apps that "A pseudo-version is in use"? I downloaded these releases: https://github.com/thunderbird/thunderbird-android/releases/download/THUNDERBIRD_14_0/thunderbird-14.0.apk, https://github.com/thunderbird/thunderbird-android/releases/download/K9MAIL_14_0/k9mail-14.0.apk So why they are treated as pseudo ones?
secrec Kong Why Obtainium shows in description of these two apps that "A pseudo-version is in use"? Probably because Android Thunderbird is k9mail. They (mozilla) opted to put their branding and money into an existing well developed application rather than start over from scratch.
ed25519 Is there anything else in Obtainium which could describe it? If not, you could easily check the signature with AppVerifier to ensure its corectly installed.
ed25519 a 'pseudo-version' - an identifier that changes for each new version of the app or Source-reported version: none (no version string is provided by this HTML source so a URL hash is used instead as a 'pseudo-version') maybe you can check more about it on: https://wiki.obtainium.imranr.dev/app_tracking/
vodka secrec No, as linked above, it's just what Obtainium calls it when they use a pseudo version number to track updates. This happens for a few apps where you can't reliably track the actual version number.
