I have a Pixel 10 Pro using a dual-eSIM support with T-Mobile US and US Mobile Dark Star (AT&T MVNO). I use T-Mobile as my primary SIM including for texting and voice, namely for a family plan and international roaming, while US Mobile is a dedicated tethering eSIM.
When I install Google Messages on GrapheneOS, Google Messages is stuck on "Connecting" using T-Mobile.
I tried:
- Installing Carrier Services and setting it up
- Setting it up without Carrier Services
- Exploit Protection Compatibility Mode
A lot of people had issues with "setting up" but I'm unique where it's stuck on Connecting. I couldn't find anyone else here or on Reddit with the same issue.
Is there a way to get RCS to work on T-Mobile/GOS, or am I stuck on SMS? And switching to Verizon is not an option for various reasons. Is it just an issue with the Pixel 10 build being "experimental"?
This never happened on other Pixel phones, such as the 9 Pro XL, but that was many months ago. Heck, even when rooted phones didn't work GrapheneOS worked for some reason.
