Hi all,
tl;dr: Tried to take part in the battery program but Google is asking me to revert to stock firmware to be able to validate my claim..
I own a Pixel 6a and installed GrapheneOS from the very first minute.
As for many other Pixel 6a owner, I am currently suffering from very bad battery performance and wanted to check my rights for getting any refund by Google.
The first request was declined just after 24h but after contacting the support again and providing the official invoice for the device, I have been forwarded to the dedicated team to check.
Now I received another query with the following requirements:
Login: The device must be logged in with the email address you used to register: “XXX@gmail.com”
Original operating system: You must download and install the original operating system (OS) on the device so that we can properly check its activity.
I especially find the statement "so that we can properly check its activity" in the second part very amusing, but hey nothing not already known.
My question is now, has anyone already done something similar and got the same requirements?
I am currently thinking about how to proceed as I do not wish to use a Pixel phone with stock software (even for some transition period until I brought a new phone)
