Bug in the launcher

Many times (approximately once every three times) when I use the app launcher it doesn't show properly. Then it looks like this . Everything works, but it doesn't use the whole width.
When I manipulate it a bit, it goes back to normal .
This bug has been there for a long time now... The scroll bug I mentioned here seems to have been fixed, but this one still persists.

Can anyone confirm?

I have had the same problem and still have. I was hoping for android 16 qpr1, but it hasn't changed. My workaround is using the back button on the left or right side. That way I can change the width.

I do the same, not sure if I did that in the video as well.

Just because I could I re installed G@@gle android in my P6a and found that the space you refer too,
"above search apps" bar and the short white line near the top, is space that the G@@gle android uses for previously opened apps.
GrapheneOS does not do this so it looks like a visual bug, but may not be...

Holy moly, I think @MetropleX just gave me the perfect hint here. I usually have animations disabled in Accessibility.

Now I have enabled it again and playing with it for a few minutes, also changing the setting back and forth a few times confirms this: The problem is gone!

@DeletedUser499 Do you also have animations disabled in Accessibility?

Maybe this was also the reason for this problem I had. This seems to be fixed, so the mode without any animations seems to have gotten more stable.

Now I have to decide: A wobbly UI or this bug. I chose the bug, cannot stand these animations!

I also have animations disabled. I will check out whether the bug is gone if I activate them. However, I prefer the bug over the slow animations.

So it's very likely that this is in fact a bug.

Had an idea and tried it out: The bug doesn't appear with 3-button navigation instead of gesture navigation.
