GrapheneOSuserDE Hey guys, I think I've found a bug. The file manager in GrapheneOS allows installations of apk files, regardless of whether this is permitted in the unknown sources options or not. This was the case in my Owner profile (without Google services) as well as in my private profile (with Google services). My build is the current version: 2025112101 See the following link: https://drive.proton.me/urls/EK4FT755GR#pITC0LmywTk2
nandohyphen1 GrapheneOSuserDE just tested this and I can confirm that no longer do I have to toggle the allow installs toggle in settings. It no longer gives that message 'for your security, this app isn't allowed to install apps from unknown sources' or redirects me to settings. It just says that I acknowledge that by installing this app I'm responsible for any damage to my device. Maybe this is a change in QPR1. I hope it isn't and this is a bug that will get fixed, because I really don't like this now. I want to be able to toggle installs on and off for the Files app in Settings. A bit of an alarming security risk in my opinion
GrapheneOSuserDE nandohyphen1 Yes, I also think this behavior is risky. If this is a change on the part of QPR1, okay, then so be it, but I don't like it. In my opinion, it's a security vulnerability.
xxx It is also in the inbuild store: https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/28162-grapheneos-version-2025111800-released/128
Curious Report it here then please @GrapheneOSuserDE @nandohyphen1 @xxx: https://github.com/GrapheneOS/os-issue-tracker
nandohyphen1 Curious I have created an issue. https://github.com/GrapheneOS/os-issue-tracker/issues/6594
