Vanadium on Tablet crashes on foregrounding.

Searches yield no other hits.

On my Pixel Tablet Vanadium restarts randomly when the application is selected. No idea what the current term of art is, but "foregrounding" was used once upon a time.

On my Pixel 9 phone, Vanadium is stable as a rock, I have months-old tabs still open.

This discussion topic is more to check my sanity than call out something official.

I don't have a Pixel tablet to reproduce, but is it hapenning often? Because Android 16 is pretty
agressive on background apps. As a "side effect" we get better battery especially with QPR1.
You can allow Vanadium unlimited background use. Unless you have 10+ tabs that have media in each,
this can be a safe default. Vanadium is part of GOS, it is "safe" to allow to run in the background.
I suspect that you have many open tabs, and it brings the system to kill Vanadium in the background to
save memory. Tablets are supported but very few users actually have them. So YMMV.

I'll try this. It was set for background=ok, optimized=OK. Changed that last to unrestricted=OK.

It happens very frequently, but I can't get the pattern. It is possibly the amount of time in the background.

We shall see.

Nnew behavior: crash/restarts on adding new tab. Frequency may be increasing.

Have you got the logs from the crash? Can be found under App Info then select View Logs?
