Hi everyone,
after the most recent automatic system update on GrapheneOS, I started having an issue with my Auto Hotspot app (paid version):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jiq.autohotspot
The app permissions are configured correctly (I even reinstalled the app to be sure), but it can no longer start the hotspot automatically.
The intended functionality is simple:
The app detects an existing Bluetooth connection and then performs a system-level action to enable the hotspot. This worked fine before the update, but now the app isn't able to trigger the hotspot anymore.
My questions:
Has something changed in GrapheneOS that would prevent apps from toggling hotspot or other system settings?
Is it possible to achieve this functionality using built-in GrapheneOS tools or native Android automation without relying on a third-party app?
Any advice or explanations would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
