I don't like everything for sure, but a large part of the overhaul sits pretty well with me. I know that if you just see your phone as a tool to perform basic functions with you might not care much for the changes, but making interfaces more reactive and use physics/haptics improves the intuitiveness and smoothness for many users.
I for one am sick of developers doing their best to oversimplify everything and make it look as plain and boring as possible. At least Material Design 3 isn't another version of that and is trying to do something different. For all the shit you can give Google, and we all know it's a lot, Material Design 3 Expressive at least isn't the same boring slop iOS copycat other operating systems have been doing for the past few years.
