Is it possible to redirect URLs in Vanadium?

So I am aware that extensions are basically not supported on most Android browsers. The few that support them, like Kiwi / Mull browser (I've never used them), may or may not be private or secure. And apparently for an app to be able to redirect URLs, it would need to MiTM TLS.

Is it possible to redirect URLs without compromising privacy/security by using a different browser to Vanadium?
How much privacy/security am I compromising by using extension-supporting browsers, and which one is the most privacy/security respecting?
At risk of potentially going down a rabbit hole with this question; would it be possible for the GOS team to patch Vanadium to allow URL redirects, how easy would this be / what would be required, and why is extension support so limited on Android? IIRC, it has something to do with how the underlying Android OS works and the way it sandboxes apps?

I have searched for threads here about Kiwi / Mull browser.

How about keeping Vanadium as your default browser app while using your favorite other browser for everyday use?

This cannot be done in Vanadium, the maximum you can do is some DNS based rules.
Such setups are increasing attack surface, don't use this setup for sensitive content.

Mull is abandoned, there is a fork called IronFox based on it:

Well, my "favorite" browser is Vanadium. I have Brave for niche cases where websites don't display images properly, but Brave doesn't support extensions. Looks like the only option to redirect URLs are using an extension supporting browser, like Kiwi or IronFox. And I don't know how private or secure they are so I'd avoid them.

Check out URLCheck. Everybody should use this app. It sets as your default browser and lets you remove portions of URLs, then open with any browser. Share links to and from URLCheck. Awesome app!
