What happens if I allow Graphene OS to Copy apps from a previous Device?

I recently picked up a Pixel 10 Pro XL. I'm eagerly awaiting the new release.
I want the transition to GrapheneOS to be as seamless as possible.
I was wondering How does it handle copying over programs from a previous device.
I started fresh with the Pixel 10XL and like all the apps that are on there.

I've watched a few videos on GrapheneOS and am looking forward to using it.
Tried searching the forum but couldn't quite find what I was looking for.
Didn't find it on Youtube either. Eh maybe my age is catching up with me.

quaddragon the safest approach is probably to fresh install in the new device from proper app sources. Some apps has their own mechanism for exporting their settings and personal content while others don't. I imported my sms history from previous device without issues, but the rest was 'fresh'-installed.
