option to send phone number when sending SMS?

Like, are you asking if its possible to send a message to somebody and automatically also send your phone number in that text? Never heard of such a thing

looks like i may be wrong, but i assumed the phone number was sent with SMS messages by default and i was sure i saw an option in GOS settings to not attach the number to SMS, which i enabled ... now i wanted to disable it and i can't find the option

i suppose it's possible that option was for something other than SMS - if so, i'll have to re-check everything

ok, i just found out that the phone number is sent with SMS - as metadata i presume - and this makes it possible for the recipient to call you ... so all is good, that's what i was wanting

don't laugh ... it's been quite a few years since i had a mobile :)
