Abode Home Security App on GOS?

Can anyone here confirm from personal experience that the Abode home security app works as expected on their GrapheneOS phone? Or, if it works partially, whats missing and what works?

Everything was working in the app up until the most recent update. Now it will not open. Strangely, the Aurora Store will not open the page for the app properly either for me to try to go back to the older version either.

mmdrsmr It works fine if you disable exploit protection. Just sloppy coding on their part; they'll probably fix it eventually with another update. Their app has always been a janky mess, and it's just as bad on iOS.

Edited to add: it does bother me that a "security" company writes such awful code. I'm overall pretty happy with the product, actually, but it's clear the app is coded by some dev shop abroad with nonexistent QC.

starglider Sounds awful. If you have the knowledge or will to learn, the most private way is to self host your CCTV system. Frigate is an awesome project, check it out!

TrustExecutor CCTV, yes for sure. Even just a systemd unit file using ffmpeg and rtsp cameras works great.

Abode, though, is a full security system with motion detectors, door/window sensors (reed switches), keypads, sirens, etc. You could build your own, but it'd be a ton of work. Basically the way to use Abode is to use their garbage app to set it up and then control everything through HomeKit or Home Assistant. But for the times when you do need their shitty app on your GrapheneOS phone, for now, just disable exploit protection.
