Twlight-Princess So I've had been using the Record You app and I noticed last year august the repository was archived by the owner message. App still works for now, I'm thinking of just switching to using the google/pixel recorder app. FOSS open sources doesn't matter to me and I don't do as many voice memos as I use too. Only other feature of Record You I thought was cool but didn't use much was the screen recorder. But I read somewhere online that there is a built in screen recorder in android? If that the case where? I'd love to check it out and if its built into the OS then my mind is kind of made up where to go. Why have more apps if its built in.
Dumdum Twlight-Princess I read somewhere online that there is a built in screen recorder in android? If that the case where? Yes. One of the Quick Tiles when you pull the top of the screen down twice. Might need to scroll the Quick Tiles to the side to find it.
Twlight-Princess Dumdum Sweet thanks, I'm going to definitely check that out. Save myself an app and probably go with google recorder.
Twlight-Princess IcyScroll I used to use simple voice recorder same thing. great app and I was considering that one.
Twlight-Princess I do have one more question on the subject of using Google Recorder, it is asking me for speech services component, for the transcript feature. Which isn't a needed feature for me. But if I wanted to use it is this just an app I can install?
IcyScroll Twlight-Princess But if I wanted to use it is this just an app I can install? I think so. It should show you a button that opens Google Play Store. It might also require internet access to download something inside the app.
Twlight-Princess IcyScroll Yeah that's What I was thinking myself. I may have to create another post just solely on that. But I'll see if I can dig around and find some info on that. Its not something I really need, just something I'm curious about. Thanks dude
