cmahns I just tried that (with the additional complication of SAML), and I'm in (on the phone I never used that with).
It was very weird though.
On the Confluence login page I selected my SSO provider, logged in there without issues, confirmed it with Duo (also zero issues), got logged in, THEN I ended up back on the Confluence login page (?!), seemingly not logged in.
Part of my first name was in the login field...grayed out.
Obviously I don't have Confluence account "like this", so I tapped my SSO provider once again. It of course confirmed I'm logged in, and.... I landed on the Confluence login page again.
This time, however, I tapped "Can't log in?" at the bottom of the page, entered my full SSO account name (login@domain.tld, not email, firstname.lastname@domain.tld), to request Confluence to send me the magic link.
...it didn't...instead, I was ejected straight into my Confluence home page.
I'm in and it works.
I don't have any special compatibility settings enabled.
