I misread the OP's question. What I said, while not a complete answer, is not itself incorrect. An iPhone user cannot initiate a FaceTime call with an android user (i.e. ring their phone). You're correct that instead they must send an invite link to the android user.
I have no problem with being corrected if appropriate. But be direct and factual, no reason to be an ass.
