Hello, I have been a graphene user for around 2.5 years now with a pixel 7 (no hardware memory tagging) which I recently changed with a pixel 9a.
I used a seedvault backup from my p7 device to migrate to the p9a. Some apps seem to crash (or at least partialy crash) frequently while using them without having the exploit protection compatibility mode active, which would be understandable if it wasn't because I've read time and time again that they should work fine.
The two clearest examples are whatsapp (it happens maily while writing messages or when in calls, the app doesn't completely crash but comes back to the main whatsapp page and the message draft or the call are lost, it's very annoying) and waze (the app crashes and shows a memory error in the notifications).
I've grown to live with whatsapp not working properly (I just turn the compatibility mode on whenever I want to have a call or video call because otherwise it drops every 2 minutes) but I had to turn the compatibility mode on for waze, because it would be dangerous to have to manually open the app again while driving.
I have already tried completely uninstalling the apps and re-installing them again directly from this device (thinking it may be an issue with the backup versions of the apps) but it did not help.
I tried looking up my problem but I don't seem to find any conclusive answer, could you help me figure it out?
Thank you in advance
