I set up Graphene on a brand new Pixel 9a from Best Buy last week. I started off thinking I'd use Google Messages, but RCS wasn't working and group chats weren't available. I tried everything I could find and even tried troubleshooting with AT&T and nothing resolved this issue. My SIM simply won't verify, so no RCS for me.
NOW, I've gone to the pre-installed messaging app on Graphene and it mostly works, except for some group messages. I was able to participate in a group chat with two iphone users, no issue there.
I was able to individually text my husband (Pixel 10 Pro on Google-Fi), but in a group chat with my husband AND an iphone user, my husband's messages don't come through to me while the iphone's does. How is this possible? Any thoughts on what's going on here?
Side note: I did download Signal, but it's going to take a lot of time to eventually use it for primary messaging since I'll have to convince my contacts to switch to it. Until then, any input on how to troubleshoot this quirky group messaging would be great!
