Story of existing Pixels once an OEM partnership has been announced

I recently brought a new Pixel device and was wondering if I made a mistake by purchasing it, in the light of recent OEM partnership news. I feel like the in coming Black Friday sales, many people are going to do the same, so I want to ask, what will be the state of old/existing Google Pixels (> Pixel 6 & < Pixel 10) once a partnership has been announced?

Will continue getting Android version releases & security updates like normal
Will get limited support, not the 7 years (normal pace/slowed).
Will continue getting updates but slowed down.
Will depend on what Google does.
They'll be abandoned.

This does not change anything for devices already supported. They will all be supported until their EOL.

The hope going forward is that future Pixels will still meet all of GOS requirements, which will allow the project to offer multiple options instead of being exclusive to one brand.
