Could we add a sandboxed gemini nano?

I was wondering if we could sandbox Aicore and Private Compute services like Maybe giving internet access initially to download the models and then after the download we stop the internet. Maybe add sandboxed Android System Inteligence too.

OS will not be able to control what the app uses internet for - be it download or seeding data about your system and environment to Google so they can "provide seamless and better user experience".
You can try to use rethinkdns to whitelist particular domains, assuming the app uses them only for download of offline datasets, but you will need to figure them out yourself.

An example may be Google translate. It downloads offline dictionaries from dl.google.com but contacts a lot of other domains for other activities.
If you whitelist only dl.google.com, GT app will work (not the best experience though) in offline mode. However there is no guarantee that it doesn't share extra info via dl.google.com
You can play with rethinkdns on your non-gos phone if you have one.

They are sandboxed on gos. However I'm not sure if they work properly because they should have been privileged.
AIcore is the fundamental part of Android Intelligence where apps like asi(android system intelligence) run on. AIcore won't connect to Internet directly and it receives input information from apps using ipc. AIcore acts as pcc(private computer core) in Android Intelligence.
PCS(private computer service) is the bridge between Aicore and Internet. Pcs downloads local models for Aicore and output user information if local model is not enough to process it.
ASI is one of the apps using Aicore. On stock OS, it provides some features like Live Caption. Other apps can also use Aicore to do things locally or on the cloud(Google Gemini).

Would this work?

no network access for gemini by default
delete all app data
update the gemini training database
disable network again

This way you would loose the training data that is gathered while interacting with the AI.
