Hi. I'm new to GrapheneOS, device: Pixel 9 Pro. One reson I bought 9 Pro was due to its camera but with Graphene, there seems no way to make use of all the camera features on 9 Pro. The pre-installed Graphene camera is extremely basic, the photos are too dark and often not sharp enough...I might as well bought some old Pixel and not splurged on 9 Pro. Tried to install GCam mods from Github, which gave me more features but not full range and the quality is still subpar compared to a friend with Pixel 9 running stock Android. Is this something I'll just have to accept or us there some workaround? Thanks

You can install the official Pixel camera app from Play Store (or via Aurora Store). It will have the same features as on the stock OS. See also here for more info.

Only thing you might be missing is the ability to open the last taken photo from within the camera app when Google Photos is not installed. You can use something like this (the photosonly flavour) to work around this.
