Any danger downloading update via 5G ?

Okay, I might be an idiot asking that... But is any danger downloading GOS updates or app updates using 5G ? I wonder that for a while now. I always use my private Wi-Fi connection to download apps or updates, but sometimes it's complicated to use a secure Wi-Fi connection when I am not at home. And I've always been reluctant to install something on my phone (or devices) using 5G given that it's a shared network between people within an area. So I wonder if someone could intercept the traffic of a 5G network and replace downloads with corrupted one.

Please, do not trash talk me for such dumb questions😅.

__Blank__ I believe the likelihood of this happening with 5G is not very different to Wi-Fi. If you use a reputable VPN in both scenarios, I think you'll be fine.

Following this since historically I do most of my downloads for things via cellular network (using a VPN but I have no idea if that makes it any safer)

I was always under the illusion??, that cellular network is harder for the average someome to crack into since even though everything has weaknesses, the cellular network has a lot of security to.protect it from bad actors than normal home or office wifi with wpa wpa2/3 etc

Definitely wanting to be corrected it'll I was mislead as I'm willing to.change ways to most secure way

krysor I do have VPN enable but only for a second profile (which I use as my default profile to keep my owner profile "pure" from apps)

But are updates from GOS only downloaded from owner profile ? Which in my case doesn't have vpn
