I basically use Termux to learn, it's got a pretty decent amount of "info" commands and I like being able to apply that knowledge locally on my phone.
I'm not really sure how all of this works, but I just want to make sure that if theres something to be concerned about, its credible and not fear for the sake of it.
From my understanding, an official repo is just a place to host and transfer packages signed by the devs. If I set my repos to NA instead RU or CN, I will have better download speed because I'm not downloading from a server from the east.
I could be way off here, but it seems Termux is not headed by a single individual, but a few from around the world. It would make sense for them to have repos in multiple places, but does that automatically mean because its in CN or RU its state sponsored spyware? (not my own conclusion, I have seen sentiment shared in this forum as well as others, I'm just trying to determine the validity of it)
