How much privacy is compromised if I sign into Tailscale with Google on GOS?

I’ve been testing out Graphene on my Pixel that had its camera hardware fail, just to see what does and doesn’t work. One thing I’ve already run into is that in order to sign into Tailscale, I have to log in through google. If I do that, is my privacy completely toast at that point on the GOS phone? I’m not sure what all sticks around since it’s a browser sign in instead of an OS level sign in.

I only use Tailscale for Immich and Taildrop. Otherwise, I'm on Proton VPN all the time.

Do you? From the screenshots in the Play Store I can see multiple identity providers like Github, Microsoft, Apple and also, plain old email.

n3t_admin Unfortunately, it has to be a signed certificate email or something. If I could sign in with only email, I would.

I tried with Github initially, and it triggered Github's security and locked me out of my account. I don't have a Microsoft or Apple account.

So yes, it must be Google.

I sign in with Google. I'm pretty sure it's just a verification thing. I don't think there are any permissions given to Google or vice versa.
