switch profiles from lock screen

I installed gos on a pix tab for one of my kids, and I set up a profile for them to use that does not include installing/updating anything, so just the owner (me) can manage those tasks.

Unfortunately, even tho there is an icon on the lock screen that shows the name of the profile that was active when the lock screen kicked in, when the icon is clicked, only the owner profile is available to select for pin entry login. The non-owner profile is just greyed out and can not be selected from the lock screen.

So everytime my kid wants to use the tab from a lock screen, I have to pin-in first and then switch user to their profile.

Surely there is a setting I am overlooking to enable profiles other than owner to select to login from lock screen. I have DDG'd and searched the forum here, but did no get a hit for this request specifically. I would appreciate it if anyone here could help on this one. Thks.

Okay, so I just tested this on my GOS phone by rebooting the phone.

If the tablet has rebooted, you will have to log into the owner profile once, to fully unlock the file system. This is a security feature to protect you against theft.

Assuming that you, the parent, have logged into the owner profile and then locked the screen, your child is able to log into his/her profile from the lock screen.

1) click the power button or double-tap the screen, whichever brings up the little lock icon on the screen
2) Have them touch the screen near the top and then swipe all the way to the bottom.
3) At the bottom-right of the screen you will see three icons. The one on the far right is power, the one next to it is the cog-wheel of settings, the third from the right is the user icon. Touch the user icon, and a "select user" dialog box will appear. Touch the icon for the desired profile.
