Bose app without Google play

Has anyone managed to get the Bose app to work without sandboxed Google play working?

This one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bose.bosemusic

It installs bit can't find any devices and has a message saying Missing Google Play Services.

The other Bose app (Bose Connect) finds the headphones but asks to use the previous app instead.

One solution turned out to be to install play Services, get the device connected, then uninstall them again and it keeps working. So only the device discovery part was problematic it seems. Presumably if the app is backed up with app data and restored you can keep your settings.

It should work with Play Services that diesn't have network permission.

02673853 Correct. I still removed it but yeah, it never had network permission and worked fine. Was only needed for initial device connection, not for running the app otherwise.
