Is trading in my old pixel safe ?

I’m considering buying a Pixel 10 from a seller who is offering a discount if I trade in my old phone. I have a few concerns regarding the privacy of my personal information. My old phone contains private email accounts, banking details, and other sensitive data in different profiles.
Are there any risks or security concerns I should be aware of when trading in my phone under these circumstances? Is there a proper way to erase all my data before handing it over to ensure my information remains safe?

When I traded a pixel at Best Buy, they had me do a factory reset, right then and there.

I think it will be fine if u toggle the reset setting to erase user data. As far as I know, system data and user data are stored in different partitions. And if u reset ur phone through that reset option provided in system settings, it will wipe off all data in user partition. Since smart phones use SSD rather than HDD for storage hardware if it is reset, it's gone for good, permanently.

btw if u still worry that somehow ur data is stored in system partition, u can reset the system partition by simply toggling on unlock boatloader option. Ur phone will restart and reset both the system partition and user partition.
