Hi all,
I'm new here.
Unfortunaltely when I was tired I accidently clicked on 'Learn more about Open by default' under Settings>Apps>Default apps>>Opening links and selecting in this example the F-Droid app.
This opened without a warning the Vanadium browser and connected to developer.android.com/training/app-links/verify-site-associations, which redirects to support.google.com/android/search?q=open+by+default
My threat model is privacy, and not so much security. I want to avoid Big Tech as much as possible.
I'm currently using GOS (pixel6a) with F-Droid and a few F-Droid apps, additionally of which only F-Droid and the TOR Browser mobile itself (I know about the securtity issues of this type of browser), plus the Signal app and Vanadium have permission to connect to the internet.
I have set a private DNS. I have not installed RethinkDNS yet.
What does Vanadium reveal in such a case to google, other than the IP address? Basicly what are the privacy implications?
Thanks.
