Visual Voicemail doesn't work on Tmobile with Play Services

All permissions are enabled and Google Dialer was installed after Play Services was installed. Carrier settings and APN are all the default that came with Graphene.

I get the error "Can't update visual voicemail."

Carrier Settings: tmobile_us-42000000023.10

Any idea what the problem could be?

jumpdeer You may need to install googles carrier services app from the play store. I believe tmobile features require that app. I had to install it for rcs to work in google messages.

I installed carrier services and rebooted, and the problem persists.

jumpdeer I'm on T-Mobile, no carrier services installed, and voicemail works normally on the stock GrapheneOS dialer. Sorry this isn't more helpful, not sure what to suggest as the APN auto-configured when I first installed the sim card.

Shendai do you have any of the google services installed or other google apps?

Shendai specifically, visual voicemail works for you in the stock phone app? Can you try the Google one too?

Kottonballs I've got all 3 google options installed through the GrapheneOS apps tool, including the play store. Additionally, google pay is installed through the Aurora store. Gboard is also installed. Gboard & play store are not granted network access. No other google apps.

jumpdeer Correct. I'd rather not install the google dialer, still trying to de-google myself where possible without sacrificing key functionality.

jumpdeer There's a lot of detailed data in the APN section, is there a specific category you are interested in? Here's a few with populated info:

Carrier settings version is tmobile_us-42000000023.8 (your version appears newer? I'm using a pixel 6a, if that makes any difference.)

Shendai From what you sent it is all the same on my end. Very strange.

Tried Shendai's setup, no luck. For my APN, I'm the same except for ver where I'm .10 instead of .8. Maybe because I'm on a P7.

jumpdeer Have you checked GrapheneOS' default Apps tool to make sure any google services you installed are updated? Don't know if that'll make any difference for this, but honestly not sure what else to suggest.

I tried everything...rebooting, ProtonVPN on and off, installing Google Phone. No luck.

Might be time for one of the Graphene developers or experts to chime in, I'm not sure what else could be blocking visual voice mail.
