Norwegian BankID Verification SMS

Hi everyone,

I’ve set up sandboxed Google Play services in a separate user profile on my GrapheneOS device so I can run the BankID app (Norway). Everything seems to work fine. Google Play Services are functional, and other apps receive verification SMS without any issues. All SMS, Network and phone permissions are granted.

However, I never receive the verification SMS to activate my BankID (Norway). My SIM is from Educom (Austria), and I’ve confirmed that SMS from other services (Signal, etc.) work normally. The message simply never arrives in the messaging app, and there’s no indication of blocking or filtering on GrapheneOS. I have had contact with my bank, which says that everything is working from their side.

Is it possible the BankID app (Norway) requires a Norwegian phone number? and your number seems to be Austrian.

Worked fine for me a few days ago, with a Norwegian phone number.

I found this:
"You can activate the BankID app with a foreign phone number, but remember that the number must be registered as contact information with your bank."
