Pixel 7a, GOS build 2025092700

When I go to use the Play Store as downloaded from the GOS app store, I get an error saying that I'm offline. Both the Play Store and Google Play Services have network permission, Secure App Spawning is off, and Exploit Protection Compatibility Mode is on. Reinstalling the app fixes it for a short time, but within a day it stops working again. The same thing seems to happen with Capital One.

I do have an adblocker but disabled it to see if it was blocking the Play Store. This didn't fix the issue.

I can of course use Aurora for downloading and updating apps, but paying through the Play Store seems to be the default for in app purchases and I'm not convinced of how safe it is to log in with my main account on Aurora.

underhill The only thing in that log that sticks out for me is java.net.UnknownHostException: Unable to resolve host "play.googleapis.com": No address associated with hostname. That should not be happening, and it is consistent with an ad blocker, VPN, or some other network filter.

Smells like DNS problem. Are you sure you not using some sketchy DNS and really disabled the ad blocker(I assume it is something like Adguard or AdAway, DNS based ad blocker).

On the contrary, try to manually set some standard DNS like cloudflare to test.
