what permissions are necessary for google play services

Google Play services, play store, Google services framework and GMS Coompat config are installed.
What permissions should I permit each app? I prefer to give the minimum permissions needed.

I use email, signal, phone and maps.
Not much else.
RH voice installed but not working correctly yet.

zehyani GSF doesn't require any permissions, or at least I haven't found anything that requires it to have permissions.

I believe that Play Services and Play Store both require network permission for proper functionality, but I don't use them myself so don't quote me on that :)

In the majority of cases, all you need is network for Play Services and Play Store. Play Services will also need a battery exception for reliable notifications.

There are cases where an app will require you to grant different permissions to Play Services such as Phone, SMS, Nearby Devices etc, but these are things you should grant as needed, and not by default.

matchboxbananasynergy As an addendum, I don't allow Network for the Play Store, and everything works for my use case. Of course I don't log in or use the Play Store at all, just Aurora for those non open source apps. Just trying to minimize data going to google where possible.

Shendai Thanks for letting me know. It's true that things may work with that setup, but some other things may break. If you face any issues, enabling the network permission for Play Store should be your first step.
