Strange Play Store results

A friend (with a non-GOS device) cannot find certain apps in the Google Play store that are visible to me. For example, "Blitzer.de." Even with Aurora, this app cannot be found on his device.
BTW: He has the same mobile phone provider as me.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this and how to fix it?

The apps may be incompatible with their device, or unavailable in their country. The latter may be caused by a VPN.

nologo He doesn't use a VPN. If an app is not compatible with the device, it is still displayed in the store—in my case—with a note about the incompatibility.
Or are there exceptions where they are no longer displayed at all? Is this new?

I don't know of any recent changes, but I haven't used Play Store for a long time. I do remember it is (or used to be) completely normal not to be able to find apps which are not available, but this may also depend on which devices are registered in your Google account I suppose. nologo Yes, it could be an account problem. However, the same situation occurs when Aurora is used anonymously.
But it's probably just that his phone is way too old (Android 4.2.2!).

Dan-cer Android 4.2.2??? That's a Jelly Bean version from 2012. 😲 Recent versions of Play Store won't even work on that device.

Do this person a favor and donate him a new phone. Android 4 is really not secure in whatever way and it should not be connected to the Internet anymore.

MineralWater Exactly. That's why I'm currently looking for a new Pixel. I can give him my Pixel 6a. At least it has the latest Android version.
