[SOLVED] Mullvad Not Connecting on Specific Device – DNS Block by Router
Just wanted to post a quick update in case this helps someone in the future.
Issue:
Mullvad wouldn't connect on one specific device, even though it worked perfectly on other devices within the same network. After a bit of digging, I figured out that the problem was related to DNS blocking on the router, but seemingly only affecting this one device.
Solution / Workaround:
I was able to get it working by creating a WiFi hotspot from another phone, connecting the affected device to that hotspot, and then logging into Mullvad. Once connected, everything worked smoothly.
It seems the router was blocking DNS requests or VPN traffic specifically for this device—possibly due to a filter or cached setting.
Conclusion:
In the end, it was an issue with my setup (most likely a router-side DNS block for that device). Hopefully this helps someone else running into a similar problem!
