Hiya tempted to get the pixel 9 fold, but the 10 is out and graphene doesn't support it yet.

Do you guys suggest just going for 9 or wait on 10 support? I dont need it immediately currently on a samsung so not as secure as id like.

In terms of security, both those devices support memory tagging (GOS security implementation since the pixel8) so you're good there.

Just pull the two models up on the google pixel store and do a comparison for device functions. If the 10 has some sort of boost you want, beyond the extra year of support, then you can decide from there.

Wait for the 10! There was a bit of nervousness about the 10 and the ability to put GOS on it. Now it seems as if this will be possible.

Our Pixel 10 support will likely only be possible to complete after we finish porting to Android 16 QPR1 which is being released in September.

I have the p9 fold. The 10 fold has a bigger frontscreen that doesn't look as dated and quite the bigger battery, as well as better water/dust rating. You can get the 9 fold for half the price of the 10 fold now. The cameras are still the same shitty setup (and they're truly truly bad compared to the main pixels), so no upgrade there. The 10 is even heavier as well.

GOS isn't out on the 10, but even considering that it's coming,. After owning the 9 fold, I don't think paying that much for a 10 fold is worth it

Prawns They're great devices but they're incredibly thin in order to have a practical size in a pocket which means smaller image sensors. It's almost certainly not about the cost but rather they don't want to make it very impractical to have in a pocket.

If you care a whole lot about the cameras, then you probably want a Pixel 9/10 Pro (XL) rather than the Fold variants. The Fold variants are higher end than the Pro in most ways except for the cameras.

GrapheneOS I don't think the fold variants are higher end. The screens looks incredibly dated, even the inside one. You can clearly see pixels and the cover display doesn't even have ltpo, so you won't use AOD. It's extremely heavy as well.
The Pro variants are better in every way except that they can't fold open.

I don't say the folds are bad, I have one myself and quite like it, but you have to decide between actually good hardware or the option for a big screen. The Pros have literally no negative sides IMHO, while the fold is clearly limited. But that is exactly fine if you want that 8" screen in your pocket.
