Using USB-C to audio jack: works 1 out of 5 times, help?

I don't know/think that this is a problem specific to GOS but my previous phone had an audio jack, so I'm new to having to use an adapter for my headphones. It works about 1 out of five times. I have to repeatedly play the USB game, and unplug and plug it back in, but I don't think the orientation (what is up and down) matters. I'm also certain that the audio jack is correctly plugged in.

Is there something I can do to improve this or am I stuck fiddling with it every time?

Hi... I bought a P7P two weeks ago, then ordered from Google online, the Google USB-C to Audio adapter and it has worked as expected. In fact I bought two, one for my wife as well. Cost AUD $16 each including postage here in Australia.

VAULT That site isn't loading quite right for me, but I think it must be the same one I ordered, as I only found one kind of these adapters. I also ordered the "official" adapter right from Google when I got my phone. So I guess that's not the issue?

Had similar problems with the first adapter i bought. Constant disconnects.
After that I bought the adapter from ANKER and I didn't experience a single disconnect in months. There seem to be large quality differences between manufacturers.

wonder75 That's interesting. My problem seems to persist only in the plugging in. When it's plugged in, it's perfect.
