This is not a Graphene issue, but since some people use Proton here, I thought give it a shot. It is about security and looks pretty odd.
I use Proton VPN in Europe. I often use the 'Secure Core' option, which means that I will be connected to the target country through a server in Switzerland and sometimes Iceland. I also connect to some countries directly.
I have also gone to the bother of setting up a firewall rule in my antivirus software on Windows that blocks all traffic to and from certain countries which I determined by using domains such as *.ru, *.cn, and some other ones. Again, I'm using these country domains and NOT IP ranges.
And here's what's strange: sometimes - not every time - when I connect to a Proton server either in Switzerland or elsewhere, my antivirus software tells me that it has blocked access to websites in one or more of the above countries. The names of these websites are just strings of letters, never anything meaningful, and when I check their registration, they come back as not registered. The IP address is that of the Proton server I connect to.
Can someone tell me what this is??? Is this Proton or something to do with my Windows (11, btw)?
